Mobile Events

Along with our on farm events, we also offer mobile events to bring the cows to you! We have brought our Highlands to a large variety of community events over the years, and always have an amazing time teaching event goers about the breed!

Our mobile set up includes three corral panels attached to our open trailer! We bring plenty of treats for visitors to feed the cows as well. This set up allows visitors to see and pet the cows through the panels, while also giving the cows the option to take breaks whenever they would like, keeping the cows comfort in mind!

We do not charge a fee for local non-profit community events (we have mainly covered Kent and Queen Anne’s county so far) but may have to charge a travel fee depending on how far away the event is.

We do charge a fee of $150 per hour fee for private and for-profit events. Payment is required in full before the event, in case of event cancellation, we can refund the payment in full for cancellations made at least one week in advance, or a 50% percent refund for cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance, if cancelling within 48 hours, we can not provide a refund.

FAQ’s

  • For mobile events we do not allow the cattle to leave their pen. Cattle do not always react positively to new environments, so to reduce the risk of the cattle spooking and causing damage, they are required to remain in their pens. That being said, if the event is at a fairgrounds with cattle tie-out areas, we can use those spots if approved to instead of the pen set up.

  • At the moment, our setup does not allow for people to get in and out of the pens, and since let the cattle remain untied in their pens, there are many safety risks that can arise from people who do not have experience around large animals in a small space. For these reasons, only those who are with our farm are allowed in the pen with the cattle.

  • We bring everything that we need for our mobile set up, and the trailer provides shade for the cattle if needed, so we do not need a pop up tent. For summer events, we will need to bring a generator with us or have close access to an electric outlet in case we need to use a fan to keep the cattle cool.

  • Yes we clean up after our cattle at our mobile events, however, we always recommend you check with the venue the event is at for approval to bring cattle on the grounds, as cattle manure can cause damage to venue lawns.

  • No, we do not allow our cattle inside any buildings for the safety of property, personnel, and the cattle. As said before, cattle can easily spook in new environments, when this is combined with flooring that is slippery for cattle, property destruction and injury to people and cattle is a serious risk. The only exception to this is with fairground building that have animal use in mind.
